As soon as the results were announced on Monday, party leaders gathered at the TRS Bhavan, the party district headquarters here.
Stambhadri Urban Development Authority (SUDA) Chairman Bachu Vijay Kumar, DCCB Chairman Kurakula Nagabhushanam, TRS city wing president Kamartapu Murali and Mayor G Papalal offered sweets to each other.
Vijay Kumar said the victory indicates the public patronage to the TRS.
The public had rejected the national parties — BJP and Congress — and the fact that their candidates lost their deposits proves it, he noted.
