Nirmal: Forests Minister A Indrakaran Reddy extolled sanitation workers for discharging duties risking their lives during the Covid-19 pandemic. He handed over groceries to the workers and ASHA workers in Nirmal on Tuesday. The groceries were sponsored by Akshyapatra, a Nirmal-based voluntary organisation.
Speaking on the occasion, Indrakaran opined that the workers were playing a pivotal role in prevention of Covid-19 by keeping premises clean and putting their health at risk. He said that the government was taking a slew of measures for containing spread of the coronavirus. He appreciated the organisation for coming forward to distribute the essentials to the workers.
The minister further said that Nirmal was able to slow down the infections of the Covid-19 due to the concerted efforts of the district administration. He stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao complimented the district for registering dip in the positive cases of the disease. He sought the public to extend their cooperation in enforcing the norms of the lockdown.
Municipal chairperson Gandrath Eshwar, DCCB chairman Ramkishan Reddy, Raithu Bandhu Samithi District Convener VenkatramReddy, TRS leaders Surender Reddy, Muralidhar Reddy and TRS party’s youth wing leader Allola Gowtham Reddy and his wife Divya Reddy were present.
