Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and top officials from the Industries Department will visit Germany in January, and hold meetings with industry, commerce bodies and SMEs to attract investments to the State.

The delegation will hard sell the investment opportunities in Telangana State, Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said at the German Investors’ Summit here on Monday.

Before embarking on the trip, the Minister will attend the prestigious World Economic Forum annual meeting-2022 to be held in Davos-Klosters from January 17 to 21.

Rama Rao, it may be recalled, had said earlier that invitation to the WEF annual meeting was recognition of Telangana government’s initiatives in the fields of information technology, industry and innovation. The event presented an opportunity for Telangana to showcase its friendly industrial policies and the immense scope for global firms to invest in the State, he had said, while thanking the WEF organisers for the invitation.
