Inebriated man sets home on fire; attempts suicide in Karimnagar
Man consumes poison, sets home on fire, police shift him to hospital where he is now undergoing treatment and his condition is stated to be progressing
Karimnagar: An alleged alcoholic attempted to end his life by taking poison and later set his house on fire. But as providence would have it, his neighbours alerted the police who moved in quickly to douse the flames and rush him to hospital.
He is now undergoing treatment and his condition is stated to be progressing. This strange incident was reported from Malliam village of Illanthakunta mandal in the early hours of Tuesday. Villagers said Sambaiah, who was inebriated consumed pesticide and later set his home on fire.
Circle Inspector Kishore and Sub Inspector Rajkumar along with force rushed to the spot and shifted Sambaiah to Huzurabad area hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.
