Inflows drop sharply at Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar

Osman Sagar recorded inflows of 1,300 cusecs and outflows of 920 cusecs, while at Himayat Sagar, the inflows were 2,600 cusecs and outflows were 1,981 cusecs

Hyderabad: The inflows from the heavy rains into the twin reservoirs of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar, from upstream areas, have come down on Sunday.

According to HMWS&SB official data, Osman Sagar recorded inflows of 1,300 cusecs and outflows of 920 cusecs. In Himayat Sagar, the inflows were 2,600 cusecs and outflows were 1,981 cusecs. HMWSSB officials are operating four floodgates at Osman Sagar and two floodgates at Himayat Sagar.


Twin reservoirs water levels on Sunday at 2 pm:

Osman Sagar:

FTL: 1790.00 feet (3.900 TMC)

Present level: 1789.15 feet (3.705 TMC)

Inflows: 1300 cusecs

Outflow: 920 cusecs

Gates: 4 opened for a 2-ft height

Himayat Sagar:

FTL: 1763.50 feet (2.970 TMC)

Present Level: 1762.35 feet (2.668 TMC)

Inflows: 2600 cusecs

Outflow: 1981 cusecs

Gates: 2 opened for a 3-ft height
