Hyderabad: The apex body of spinal surgeons in India, the Association of Spine Surgeons of India, has kick-started a nationwide initiative to educate, train and empower people in preventing injuries. The programme launched from Hyderabad on Saturday has the ASSI tying up with multiple societies across the country to create an army of trainers who will undertake training and awareness sessions across multiple organisations.
The campaign aims to reach 10,00,000 people over this year through multiple initiatives across schools, colleges, institutions and organisations, said Dr HS Chhabra, president, ASSI. The awareness activities will include conducting poster competitions, lectures and workshops, facilitating ‘nukkad nataks’ and conducting extensive social media campaigns, according to a press release.
