Injury rules out Harshit Rana, Mohd Siraj joins India’s T-20 squad
Hyderabad pacer Mohd Siraj has replaced injured Harshit Rana in India’s T-20 World Cup squad. Rana sustained a knee injury in the warm-up match against South Africa in Navi Mumbai, with BCCI confirming his unavailability after medical scans
Hyderabad: Mohd Siraj of Hyderabad has been named as replacement for injured pacer Harshit Rana for the T-20 World Cup starting Saturday.
The BCCI informed late on Friday evening that Siraj will join the team in place of Rana, who sustained a knee injury during the warm-up match against South Africa in Navi Mumbai on February 4.
Following consultations with a specialist and subsequent scans, the BCCI medical team deemed him unfit to participate in the tournament. The team management wished him a speedy recovery.
