A viral video from Mancherial shows an insect in a meal served at a popular hotel near the bus stand. Customers raised hygiene concerns, recalling previous similar incidents, while the management denied wrongdoing and blamed a deliberate attempt to defame them.
Mancherial: An insect was allegedly found in a meal served at a popular hotel near the bus stand here on Friday evening, and a video of the incident went viral on social media platforms on Saturday.
A customer confronted the hotel management after spotting an insect in the rice, but the staff reportedly brushed aside his complaint. The management denied serving contaminated food and claimed that a live insect might have fallen into the plate while the customer was eating, alleging that some persons were intentionally trying to tarnish the hotel’s reputation.
Customers, however, expressed concern over the unhygienic food being served at the hotel and urged officials to take steps to ensure hygiene and prevent food contamination. They recalled previous incidents at the same establishment, including a cockroach found in vegetable biryani and upma being served with a dead rat.
