Hyderabad: A man died, allegedly by suicide, at Gundlapochamapally village in Petbasheerabad on the city outskirts on Saturday, reportedly due to harassment by recovery agents of an instant loan company.
Chandra Mohan, a resident of Gundlapochampally village, had obtained a loan from a loan app a few weeks ago and failed to repay in time after which telecallers of the app allegedly began calling him over phone and threatening him repeatedly. The company also sent messages to his friends and relatives defaming him, family members told the police.
On Saturday, Chandra Mohan was found hanging in his house. The Petbasheerabad police have reached the spot and are investigating.
