Siddipet: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, who visited the Integrated Market in Gajwel on Monday, said the government will build such integrated markets across all municipalities in the State at a cost of over Rs 500 crore.
Following directions from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Somesh Kumar visited the market. The Chief Secretary said that the visit would help him understand the proposed market closely which will be replicated in 500 urban bodies. He said Additional Collectors from 33 districts, who will be responsible for overseeing the construction of integrated markets in their respective districts, will visit Gajwel to see the work shortly.
The Chief Secretary appreciated the officials of Siddipet for making the market both customers and vendor friendly. Later, Somesh Kumar visited a Rehabilitation and Resettlement Colony at Mutrajpally where the government is building over 6,000 2BHK houses for the displaced under the Mallanna Sagar project. He also visited the R&R Colony at Tunkibollaram where the government built 2,200 houses for the displaced under Kondapochamma Sagar.
He lauded the officials for providing all the infrastructure facilities at the 2BHK colonies. Later, the CS visited Wargal mandal where the government is planning to set up a food processing cluster with an aim to create demand for agricultural produce and also generate employment for the local youth. Chief Secretary praised Collector Siddipet P Venkatrami Reddy and his team for executing all the works without any glitches. Principal Secretary IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan, Additional Collector Muzammil Khan and others were present.
