Intense spells of downpour interspersed with moderate showers forecast for Hyderabad
The India Meteorological Department has forecast intense thundershowers with intermittent moderate rain and gusty winds in Hyderabad on Monday and Tuesday, warning of waterlogging, slippery roads, and possible disturbances in electricity and municipal services.
Hyderabad: Intense spells of thundershowers interspersed with light to moderate showers and gusty winds have been forecast for Hyderabad for Monday and Tuesday.
In its impact assessment on normal life due to the anticipated downpour, the India Meteorological Department- Hyderabad on Monday said “Water pooling on roads and low-lying areas in few/many locations. Wet and slippery roads. Electricity, water and other social disturbances for a few hours. There could be drainage clogging, wet and slippery roads”.
The Met department suggested the municipal authorities to issue necessary advisory for displaying warnings and action for clearing water. Advisory may also be issued by road, road traffic department for traffic regulation and response for many be advisor to take necessary action.
