Intermediate failure drives Medak student to suicide

A 17-year-old student from Chinna Nizampet in Medak died by suicide after failing intermediate second year exams. Despite family support, he remained distressed about his future. He was later found hanging in his agriculture field, police said.

Medak: Failure in an examination drove another student to suicide at Chinna Nizampet in Akberpet-Bhumpally mandal on Friday night. The deceased, Sherla Sairam (17), who failed in intermediate second year, was depressed about his future. Despite family members comforting him, he used to talk about it often. Sairam, who left for his agriculture field on Friday evening, was found hanging from a tree hours later. Sairam, the only son of Surendar, his death devastated his parents. The police registered a case.
