Intermediate student dies by suicide in Hyderabad after fearing failure in supplementary exams

A 16-year-old Intermediate student from Boduppal, Hyderabad, allegedly died by suicide after fearing failure in her Advanced Supplementary exams. She had reappeared for two subjects but was reportedly upset with her performance. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Hyderabad: A minor girl, who allegedly feared she would fail her Intermediate Advanced Supplementary exams, died by suicide at her home in Boduppal, Medipally, on Sunday night.

According to available information, the 16-year-old girl, an Intermediate first-year student of a private junior college in Boduppal, had reappeared for two subjects in which she had previously failed.


However, she was reportedly upset over her performance and ended her life.

She hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her bedroom using a scarf, after her family members had gone to sleep.

The Medipally police have registered a case and are investigating.
