International AI and semiconductor workshop held at T-Hub in Hyderabad

More than 350 academicians, researchers, industry experts and students participated in a two-day international workshop on AI-driven semiconductor and energy-efficient hardware at T-Hub. Organised by SVES with Penn State University, the event focused on emerging technologies and engineering education.

Hyderabad: A two-day international workshop on artificial intelligence-driven semiconductor and energy-efficient hardware was held at T-Hub, Hyderabad, on July 7 and 8. The workshop was organised by the Sri Vishnu Educational Society (SVES), Narsapur, in collaboration with Penn State University, USA. It was co-sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Chapter, Hyderabad Section.

The event brought together more than 350 academicians, researchers, industry experts, policymakers and students from across India and abroad to deliberate on the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, VLSI, semiconductor technologies, advanced packaging, photonics, edge computing, intelligent power electronics and next-generation hardware systems.


Secretary, SVES, Aditya Vissam highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the institute to transform engineering education in the era of artificial intelligence. He emphasised the integration of AI into teaching, learning, research, innovation and skill development across SVES institutions to prepare students for emerging technologies and future careers.

He also spoke about the rapidly expanding opportunities in semiconductor manufacturing, chip design, advanced packaging and AI-driven technologies, encouraging students to actively engage with experts and develop industry-ready competencies to contribute to India’s vision of becoming a global semiconductor powerhouse.
