Hyderabad: Several events and activities on the occasion of International Women’s Day are being lined up by different groups, voluntary bodies and associations in Hyderabad. Here are some of the major events where you can celebrate the spirit of Women’s Day.
Stand-up show only for women

Well-known stand-up comedians Rajashekar Mamidanna and Rohit Swain will be performing together at Aaromalé in Film Nagar on Tuesday from 8 pm onwards. This will be for a women only audience. The ticket costs Rs.349 and can be booked on BookMyShow.
Gender equality run
She Teams Hyderabad is organising a Gender Equality 2K and 5K run at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road on March 6, on the theme ‘Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’. Online registrations are open at www.ifinish.in. Those who register will get a T-shirt, a finisher’s medal and a breakfast kit. Registrations will close on Saturday by 6 pm.
Wonderla Amusement Park
Wonderla Hyderabad has announced an exclusive offer for women for a fun outing on their premises on March 8. The park is offering a one-plus-one offer on entry tickets priced at Rs 1,049. On this day, the park will not allow male visitors above the age of 10. The offer is available for online booking as well as for walk-ins and is valid only for women. Any ticket booked for men for this date will be cancelled automatically.
Goodwalk
Sayfty, an online platform that works for women, along with Good Universe NGO is organizing a walk from March 9 to 19. The event is organized to raise money and awareness of women’s health and to support marginalized women. Those interested can register on goodwalk.in to participate from any part of the world. Prices for 3K, 5K and 10K walks are Rs.600, Rs.750 and Rs.999 respectively. Participants will get a certificate and medal.
Musical event at Shilparamam
Hope Advertising Private Limited and South Indian Cultural Association will present a musical treat by women on March 8 from 9.30 am at the Ethnic Hall in Shilparamam, Hyderabad. Eminent artistes such as the Lathangi Sisters, Pratima Sasidhar and Dr Mridula Ashwin, are preparing to enthrall the audience at this musical extravaganza. The programme can be streamed on YouTube as well.
