Yashoda Hospitals in Hyderabad hosted a two-day international conference and live workshop on advanced interventional cardiology, featuring cutting-edge treatments for heart ailments. Experts discussed new therapies for high cholesterol, heart valve procedures, and advanced technologies like angioplasty and intravascular imaging
Hyderabad: A two-day International Conference & Live Workshop on ‘The most Advanced Interventional Cardiology’, participated by cardiologists from across the country and abroad, and showcasing the latest treatments of heart ailments, opened at Yashoda Hospitals – Hitec City on Saturday.
Inaugurating the workshop, Dr G S Rao, MD, Yashoda Hospitals, Yashoda Group, plans to unveil centres of excellence in all fields of medical care.
“This Interventional Cardiology Conference and Live Workshop covering a range of issues from preventive cardiology with sessions on new therapies for high cholesterol to cutting-edge technologies like intravascular imaging for clearing heart blockages, laser-assisted angioplasty, use of tools such as rotablation and orbital atherectomy for plaque modification during angioplasty,” he said.
Dr V Rajasekhar, Senior Cardiologist and Clinical Director, Yashoda Hitech City, said, ” In this Conference, Experts also discussed the advances in non-surgical replacement of heart valves through the TAVR procedure and repair of mitral valve with special clips.”
