Hyderabad: Prof. C Srinivasulu, internationally acclaimed zoologist from Osmania University (OU) and widely known for his research on bats, has been appointed as a member of the State Wildlife Board.
The Board will serve as a key advisory body, providing expert guidance on identifying and managing potential protected areas, as well as framing the State policies for wildlife conservation and protection of specified plant species. It will also serve as a platform for domain experts in wildlife conservation, public representatives, and policy makers.
Prof. Srinivasulu is also a member of Telangana State Biodiversity Board and heads the Wildlife Biology and Taxonomy Lab. Presently, he serves as Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Studies at OU, and Nodal Officer, RUSA 2.0.
OU Vice Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram commended Prof. Srinivasulu’s appointment, highlighting his exceptional research contributions to wildlife and biodiversity. Registrar Prof. G Naresh Reddy, and OSD to VC Prof. S Jithender Kumar Naik also congratulated Prof. Srinivasulu on his appointment.
