IPL 2026: Malkajgiri traffic police announce diversions for matches at Uppal stadium

Malkajgiri traffic police have announced diversions ahead of IPL 2026 matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. Heavy vehicles will be rerouted across key corridors, with parking and traffic plans issued to manage spectator rush during Sunrisers Hyderabad fixtures.

Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri traffic police, in view of Indian Premier League – 2026 Cricket Matches Total (07), which are scheduled to be held on April 13, 18, 21, and May 3, 6 and 22, at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, Medchal – Malkajgiri District, imposed traffic diversions on the movement of traffic in Uppal traffic police station.

The traffic will be diverted on Monday in view of spectator rush towards RGIC Stadium, Uppal, for the IPL 2026 Cricket match SRH Vs Rajasthan Royals.


Heavy vehicles from Ghatkesar to Uppal will be diverted at HMDA Uppal Bhagayath entrance at Mehfil Hotel towards Nagole – LB Nagar.

Heavy vehicles from LB Nagar to Uppal will be diverted at U Turn at Nagole Metro Station towards Nagole U Turn – HMDA Bhgayath – Toyota U Turn – Boduppal – Chengicherla – IOCL Cherlapally or Ghatkesar.

The heavy vehicles from Tarnaka to Uppal will be diverted at Habsiguda X Road towards Nacharam – NFC Rotary – IOCL Cherlapally – Ghatkesar

Heavy vehicles from Ramanthapur to Uppal will be diverted at Street No 8 towards Habsiguda X Roads – Nacharam – NFC Rotary – IOCL Cherlapally – Ghatkesar.

Heavy vehicles from Warangal towards Hyderabad via Uppal shall take the ORR at Ghatkesar and proceed via Abdullapurmet – LB Nagar – Dilsukhnagar.

Vehicles from Hyderabad towards Warangal via Uppal shall proceed through LB Nagar – Hayathnagar and take the ORR at Abdullapurmet to reach Warangal.

A total of five major parking locations have been identified for the IPL Cricket Match on 13-04-2026. Four locations of these are situated outside the RGIC Stadium within a 500-metre radius for general public use, and one designated parking area is inside the stadium exclusively for pass holders (VVIP/VIP).

• From Uppal X-Roads to Habsiguda: Penguin & TGIALA

• From Uppal X-Roads to Ramanthapur: Open place of DSL (Opp to NSL building) & Modern Bakery

The traffic police requested the citizens to cooperate with the police
