Playing patriotic songs and singing along with them on Independence Day every year is a joy of its own. Beyond all is the goosebumps that the national anthem gives all the Indians while seeing the national flag.

Now, on India’s 75th Independence Day, a video of a foreigner playing the Indian national anthem on a santoor is melting hearts online. In the video, a young girl dressed in a yellow kurta and a colourful headscarf, plays a beautiful rendition of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ on a santoor which has left netizens mesmerised.

Beyond her impeccable performance, what made the video go further viral is the fact that the 13-year-old girl by name Tara Ghahremani is not an Indian but an Iranian wishing the country on behalf of hers. Tara is a musical prodigy from Tehran, Iran.

However, this is not the first time that the girl has mesmerised Indians with her sweet rendition of the national anthem. Tara has also played the national anthem of her santoor for Republic Day. The video of her playing has gone viral on both the occasions having netizens moved.

Tara Ghahremani is a well-known name in her turf to have moved many with her music. And in 2020, she also won the coveted Global Child Prodigy Awards in the ‘Musician’ category. She was also among the Top 15 Child Prodigies of the year, acknowledged by the agency for spreading positive vibes through their music all around.
