IRCTC offers five-day Jagannath yatra
As part of the tour package, devotees can cover temples in the Puri–Bhubaneswar–Konark segment

Hyderabad: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is gearing up to offer a Jagannath Dham Yatra package from the city starting next month. As part of the tour package, devotees can cover temples in the Puri–Bhubaneswar–Konark segment. The five-day trip will start on March 5 and end on March 9. Boarding points for the trip are Secunderabad, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Dhuwada.
The cost of the Jagannath Dham Yatra in the standard category is Rs 5,250 and Rs 6,300 for comfort. Passengers have to board and de-board the train at nominated stations as per the final railway order and local transportation expenses have to be borne by the passengers on their own.
Devotees preferring train journey by sleeper class and third class AC will be provided with night stay/fresh up at dharmashalas/halls/ dormitories on a multi-sharing basis. It will also provide morning tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner and one litre of drinking water per day.
“Tourists need to bring pillows, bed-sheet, nylon rope for drying clothes, lock and key with chain to secure luggage, torchlight, umbrella and medicines. Entrance fees, pooja, special darshan charges, horse-ride and boating-charges are to be borne by the tourists,” said an official, adding that touching of statues/idols/holy books were not allowed in religious/tourist places and there would be no physical offerings like distribution of prasadam or sprinkling of holy water inside the religious place.
