IREC 2026, Luxury Expo adopt rhino at Nehru Zoo for three months

The International Real Estate Conference 2026 and Luxury Expo adopted a one-horned rhinoceros at Hyderabad’s Nehru Zoological Park for three months. Zoo curator J Vasantha welcomed the initiative, saying such partnerships support animal care, habitat management and wildlife conservation.

Hyderabad: The International Real Estate Conference (IREC) 2026 and Luxury Expo adopted a one-horned rhinoceros for a period of three months at the Nehru Zoological Park here on Saturday. In this connection, Hyderabad Realtors Association presented a cheque to Zoo curator J Vasantha.

Vasantha appreciated IREC 2026’s support towards Rhino adoption. “Such partnerships not only help us improve animal care and habitat management, but also send a message to the business community that protecting wildlife is integral to building truly sustainable urban environments,” she said.

The Nehru Zoological Park’s animal adoption scheme enables individuals, families, schools and organisations to support specific animals by contributing towards their maintenance for defined periods.
