Irfani Dargah’s 24th Urs celebrations begin in Sangareddy
The 24th Urs celebrations of Irfani Dargah in Sangareddy began with a Gandham procession from Jamia Masjid. An All-India Mushaira was later organised, while Irfani Service Awards were presented to two municipal leaders for their administrative services

Sangareddy: The 24th Urs celebrations of the Irfani Dargah in Sangareddy began under the leadership of Umar bin Ahmed. As part of the annual celebrations, a Gandham procession was taken out from the Jamia Masjid near the old jail in the town.
The procession passed through the main streets before proceeding to the Irfani Dargah on the outskirts of the town. Later, an All-India Mushaira (poets’ meet) was organised, with poets from various parts of the country enthralling the gathering with their recitations.
As part of the celebrations, Irfani Service Awards were presented to Zaheerabad Municipal Chairman Mohammed Yunus and Sangareddy Municipal Vice-Chairman Shafi Ahmed in recognition of their services as administrators.
A large number of devotees participated in the Urs celebrations and offered prayers.
