‘Irresponsible’: Ponnam hits back at Bandi Sanjay’s comments
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar criticised Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar for terming house demolitions unjust, asserting that the removals were carried out in compliance with a Supreme Court judgment
Karimnagar: Terming Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay’s comments as irresponsible, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that it was not proper on the part of the Union Minister to make such statements without knowing the facts. People who have respect in courts should not make such statements, he opined.
In an open letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday, Sanjay Kumar found fault with the State government for demolishing the houses of poor people.
Reacting to the Union Minister’s comments here, Prabhakar said that based on the Supreme Court’s judgment, illegal structures had been removed.
Stating that the Union Minister might not have been aware about the court’s judgment, he asked the district Collector to send judgment copies to Sanjay Kumar.
