Adilabad: Irrigation projects of Mancherial, Nirmal and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts received copious inflows following rains in upstream areas, on Wednesday. Sripada Yellampalli Project near Gudipet village in Hajipur mandal, had 2.77 lakh cusecs of inflows.
As a result, the water level reached 147.5 meters when compared with the total storage capacity of 148 meters. Surplus water was released downstream by lifting 27 gates. It registered a total of 11.71 tmcs of water, while outflow was 11.82 tmcs, in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Kaddam Narayana Reddy of Nirmal district Project recorded inflows of around 5,450 cusecs. Consequently, the water level of the project reached to 698 feet as against the storage capacity of 700 feet. Surplus water was discharged by lifting a gate. Outflow was 4,868 cusecs.
Kumram Bheem Project of Kumram Bheem Asifabad too registered 4,200 cusecs of inflows and outflows were assessed to be 4,200 cusecs. The water level was 241 meters when compared to the storage capacity of 243 meters. Vattivagu, Neelwai and Swarna projects also had inflows, resulting in increasing the water level of the projects.
