Hyderabad: The Team Purple of Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad, with their solution for D2C business that integrated a customer’s journey in an offline store with online, came second in the Samsung EDGE programme, the nationwide campus platform that provides talented young minds an opportunity to showcase their business acumen in the competition.
The Samsung EDGE competition featured over 5,000 students from 20 top institutions, who participated in the pan-India campus program that was held virtually. This year, over 1,700 teams from 20 colleges participated in the event.
The Team Purple from ISB Hyderabad won a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh and pre-placement interviews with Samsung. Team AKR Menders from IIT Madras took home the first prize, while Team Trifecta of FMS Delhi came third.
Sameer Wadhawan, Head, HR, Samsung India, said, “As a platform, Samsung EDGE endeavors to discover and nurture the leaders of tomorrow and we are extremely delighted with the massive increase in participation rate year on year and the impressive innovative solutions presented this season.” This year, nine teams were shortlisted and mentored by Samsung’s leaders to battle it out for the top three spots.
