IT department confiscates Nayeem’s benami properties in Karimnagar
The Income Tax department confiscated benami properties linked to gangster Nayeem in Karimnagar district, pasting the official order in Nagunur village after identifying land registered in the name of a family member as part of its investigation.

Karimnagar: The Income Tax department confiscated the benami properties of gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem in Nagunur of Karimnagar rural mandal on Tuesday. IT officials from the Benami Prohibition Unit, Hyderabad, visited the village and pasted a copy of the confiscation order at the gram panchayat office, besides making a proclamation in the village.
Nayeem, who owned 13 open plots in different survey numbers within Nagunur limits, had registered the land in the name of one of his family members, Ahela Begum. The IT department, which is probing benami properties, had issued the confiscation order on October 3, 2025. On Tuesday, a copy of the order was displayed at the gram panchayat office.
