Hyderabad: The release date of ‘RRR’ has come as a surprise for fans. Netizens felt if the release was planned in haste? The makers of Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer have locked an entirely new date from what they have announced a week ago.
People and the players in the film industry are aware that pan-India movie like ‘RRR’ is a big business at the box office at any given time. For a movie that is produced on a big scale, a lot of tickets have to be sold to break even.
Major costs including paying the remuneration to cast and to all crew and technical team that worked for special effects — the financial burden would worry any film producer. So the producers of the magnum opus aren’t in mood to delay the film any further. The makers felt the heat after postponing the film from the supposed release date January 7.
Although March 18 seemed an ideal date for ‘RRR’ to arrive in theatres, the Bollywood pan-India flick ‘Bachchan Pandey’ grabbed the chance and locked the date. While April 28 looked like an alternative, again, holding the film for another one month will be too late. By then, all other films starting with ‘Valimai’, ‘Gangubai Kathaiwadi’, ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’, ‘KGF2’, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ would have been released. ‘RRR’ still would have made audiences wait.
But is it worth waiting for the “perfect date” when the fatigue keeps on increasing on poor audiences who have been waiting for eons.. Probably, this could be the reason why the film’s unit decided to choose the middle ground (March 25th) to come before audiences..
