ITC WOW honours ‘Recycling Champions’ of waste management in Telangana
The ITC WOW Awards 2025–26 recognised students, schools, colleges, and corporates for supporting the Swachh Bharat Mission. Over 1.15 lakh students contributed around 1,200 metric tons of dry waste, with awards presented by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and ITC officials.

Hyderabad: The Wellbeing Out of Waste (ITC WOW) Awards Presentation Ceremony 2025–26, recognising contributions by students, schools, colleges, and corporates towards advancing the Swachh Bharat Mission, through effective waste segregation, recycling, and responsible waste management practices, was organised by ITC Limited.
The 2025–26 edition of the championship witnessed a good response, with over 1.15 lakh students actively participating and collectively contributing approximately 1,200 metric tons of dry waste for recycling. Around 614 schools across Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Siddipet, Siricilla, and Bhadrachalam, involving nearly 4 lakh students, participated.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, along with Rajesh Ponnuru, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC Limited – Paperboards & Speciality Papers Division (PSPD) and Sib Sankar Bandyopadhyay, Executive Vice President – HR & CSR, Paperboards & Speciality Papers Division, ITC Limited, presented the awards and medals.
