Hyderabad: Actor Akhil Akkineni has officially tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Zainab Ravdjee, in an intimate and emotional ceremony held at his family home in Hyderabad during the early hours of Friday.
Confirming the news, Akhil’s father and veteran actor Nagarjuna took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share a heartwarming picture from the wedding. Along with the photo, he wrote: “With immense joy, Amala and I are delighted to share that our dear son has married his beloved Zainab in a beautiful ceremony (3:35 am) at our home, where our hearts belong. We watched a dream come true surrounded by love, laughter, and those dearest to us. We seek your blessings as they begin this new journey together. With love and gratitude.”
The wedding, rooted in Hindu traditions, was attended by a close circle of friends and family, including top celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and director Prashanth Neel. Despite the high-profile guest list, the couple chose to keep the celebrations private and personal.
Zainab and Akhil were in a relationship for three years before getting engaged on November 26, 2024. Their wedding ceremony reflected simplicity and elegance, with both of them opting for traditional Telugu attire. Zainab wore a pastel ivory saree paired with sparkling diamond jewellery, while Akhil looked graceful in a classic white kurta and dhoti.
Zainab hails from a prominent and respected family. Her father, Zulfi Ravdjee, is a noted figure in the construction industry, and her brother, Zain Ravdjee, heads ZR Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd, a company making strides in the field of clean energy.
Though raised in a business-oriented family, Zainab chose to explore her creative side, growing into a multi-talented individual with the support of her loved ones.
