Jagadish Reddy asks people to take part in development process
Referring to the projects taken up in Suryapet, Minister Jagadish Reddy asked the people to take part in the development process by cooperating with the government authorities in their implementation
Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Monday asked people to take part in the development process which would ensure transparency in the implementation of the works related to infrastructure development and facilities in their areas. Laying a foundation stone for development of mini-tank bund at Pulla Reddy Cheruvu in Suryapet with estimated cost of Rs 17.58 crore, Jagadish Reddy said that only Suryapet had two-mini tank bunds as works of a tank bund at Saddala Cheruvu were completed and another mini-tank bund would be developed at Pulla Reddy Cheruvu. Tank bund of Pulla Reddy Cheruvu would get ready by next Bathukamma festival.
People knew very well about the development witnessed by Suryapet after year 2014. Referring to the projects taken up in Suryapet, he asked the people to take part in the development process by cooperating with the government authorities in their implementation. Earlier, water was drawn from Musi for drinking water supply in Suryapet, but now safe river water was being supplied as drinking water under Mission Bhagiratha, he added. The days of Suryapet people getting drinking water supply round the clock were very near, he added.
He said that road widening works in the town would be completed as early as possible. He said that works of beatification of Suryapet would be also be taken up soon. Suryapet municipal chairperson Perumalla Annapurna, district libraries chairman Nimmala Srinivas and others were also attended the programme.
