Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Saturday exuded confidence that TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas would win the bypolls to Huzurabad Assembly Constituency with a huge margin. Speaking at a meeting of the TRS members in Thungathurthy Assembly constituency, he said that earlier governments have neglected the welfare of the people. Moreover, their policies have caused a financial burden on the common people, he alleged.

He said that the people of Huzurabad would teach a lesson to the BJP for Narendra Modi government’s decision not to procure paddy from the farmers and also for fuel prices hike. He alleged that the opposition parties have turned as anti-development forces by creating hurdles to the welfare schemes and irrigation projects. Thungathurthy MLA Gadari Kishore Kumar said that the people have been presenting a victory to the TRS in all the elections and the same trend would also continue in by-elections to Huzurabad Assembly Constituency.

He pointed out that Tirumalgiri in the assembly constituency was among the four mandals, which were selected for the implementation of Dalit Bandhu by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. The Chief Minister would also attend a meeting, which would be held at Tirumalgiri soon. A rally with 2,000 motorcycles was taken up by the TRS members in the town before the commencement of the meeting.
