Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy had already made it clear that YSRCP would not enter Telangana State and any decision of YS Sharmila idea to start the party there would be purely her personal decision, YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said here on Tuesday.
Reacting to Sharmila’s meeting with her supporters at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad in the morning, he said that YSRCP was formed with the support of crores of people and Jagan came to power after a decade-long struggle. “Jagan is very clear on this. He is keen that both the States should have cooperation. The topic of starting the party in Telangana was discussed several times. But Jagan said no since Andhra Pradesh’s interests would suffer. Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy was fond of his daughter Sharmila who is well-known to people. But there is a danger of reading this wrong,” he remarked.
