Jaganmohan Reddy to write to PM Modi on vaccination

The Chief Minister called for effective implementation of the partial curfew in the State from Wednesday

Vijayawada: Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking that priority be given to those above 45 years of age in vaccination. A decision to this effect was taken by the State Cabinet which met here on Tuesday.

The Cabinet dwelt mainly on coronavirus control measures and vaccination. It also decided to take special steps to resolve the oxygen supply issue.


The Chief Minister advised the ministers to get oxygen supplies from Karnataka, Odisha and Tamil Naidu. He also called for effective implementation of the partial curfew from Wednesday.

The Cabinet decided that RTC buses should not be operated after 12 noon and all colleges should function only till 11.30 a.m. The shops should be allowed to open between 6 a.m. and 12 noon.

The curfew will be implemented from 12 noon to 6 a.m. the next day.
