Hyderabad: Continuing with his tirade against Telangana Congress leadership, Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy on Sunday said he has several issues to discuss at the party meeting scheduled for Wednesday.
Taking serious objection to a campaign on social media projecting him as a covert, Jagga Reddy said: “If I am a covert, then TPCC president A Revanth Reddy is also a covert.”
At a recent programme in Sangareddy, Jagga Reddy met MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao and sought funds for various developmental works in his constituency.
“An official programme is different from a political programme. As an MLA, I have to meet officials and Ministers to get funds and take up developmental works. How can this be described as an anti-party activity?” asked Jagga Reddy.
Addressing media persons here, the Congress MLA said: “My wife contested as a Congress candidate in the recent MLC elections against the ruling TRS. But why was a candidate not fielded in Mahabubnagar? This shows who is a covert in the party.”
Stating that Congress was a national party with a rich history, he said it does not require one individual’s charisma to revive its fortunes in Telangana. The TPCC disciplinary committee chief G Chinna Reddy was acting at the behest of Revanth Reddy, he said.
He also took strong objection to Teenmaar Mallanna’s comments against him. “Teenmaar Mallanna considers himself an intellect but he is not. I am aware of his blackmail tactics. Who is he to call me an agent?” Jagga Reddy asked.
