Sangareddy: Congress leader T Jagga Reddy threatened to attack a police inspector in the 34th ward of Sangareddy municipality and warned that he would stop polling, accusing the police of holding the collar of Congress contestant Addu.
In a video recorded by locals, Jagga Reddy is seen trying to push aside DSP Sathaiah Goud and attempting to barge into the polling station. The incident occurred after Shiva Kumar sent Congress contestant Addu away from the polling station, allegedly holding his shirt as he remained inside for a longer time.
Accusing the police officer of acting in favour of the opposition party, Jagga Reddy challenged him to take him on directly, leaving the police force baffled. Reddy further warned the home guard accompanying the inspector of serious consequences.
The police found it difficult to control Jagga Reddy as he repeatedly attempted to enter the polling station, threatening to stop polling and confront the inspector directly.
