Jagtial DMHO dies suddenly after complaining of chest pain
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Akula Srinivas died of a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Saturday in Jagtial. The senior health official was recently appointed to the post and was widely respected in the district.

According to family members, Dr Srinivas complained of chest pain around 4.30 am. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Dr Srinivas had recently taken charge as DMHO following the transfer of his predecessor on deputation. Earlier, he had served as a programme officer in the health department.
A native of Jagtial town, Dr Srinivas was well known among local residents and had close links with various sections of society.
Medical and health department officials, members of walker associations, and political leaders expressed deep shock and grief over his sudden demise.
