Hyderabad: Memes have always had a good source from Hindi cinema. The latest being the 2006 film Vivah starring Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor where Rao is seen, in an ethereal pink suit, offering Jal (water) to the guests saying ‘jal lijiye’. Now that line ‘jal lijiye has caught the social media fire and a lot of creative memes have been seen pouring in.

Now, from Instagram to Twitter, memers are using the line while adding — ‘Aap thak gaye honge’ pointing at different funny scenarios of the day. Some also feel that this meme frenzy is a reminder for many who are busy with emails and work to take a break as ‘who thak gaye honge’ and drink ‘jal’.

Some have also used the meme to promote their brands while hitting the right chords with the meme

While the meme is getting all creative chords active, actor Amrita Rao herself couldn’t resist but participate in the frenzy. The actor posted a video of her asking ‘jal lijiye’ in a polite way and soon is seen pouring a bucket full of water at the screen. Here’s what she says to it.
