Jangaon: CCI procurement centres to remain closed till Jan 5

According to Jangaon agriculture market secretary, the CCI centres would remain closed on January 1 on the occasion of New Year, whereas it would not function on January 2 and 3 as the cotton stock has accumulated in various mills

Jangaon: The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) procurement centres in the district will remain closed from January 1 to 5.

According to Jangaon agriculture market secretary, the CCI centres would remain closed on January 1 on the occasion of New Year, whereas it would not function on January 2 and 3 as the cotton stock has accumulated in various mills.


Since as per rules Saturday and Sunday the procurement centres remain closed, it would reopen on January 6, the secretary added. The secretary urged the farmers not to bring their produce on these days as it won’t be procured.
