Hyderabad: Ashwaraopally under Raghunathapally mandal in Jangaon district has some distinction. Five decades ago, a water tanker was constructed in the village and it also got the first electric bulb in the entire Raghunathapally mandal.

All this was possible due to the efforts put in by late Potlapally Kamala Manohar Rao. He strived a lot for the welfare and development of his native village.

After his demise, his successors established Potlapally Kamala Manohar Rao Foundation and are taking up different social service activities. Considering the needs of passengers, the Foundation has installed a water purifier at Raghunathapally bus stand.

The water purifier was formally launched by TGSRTC Warangal Regional Manager D Vijaya Bhanu on Saturday. EE Bhasker, Deputy RM K Bhanu Kiran, Raghunathapally MRO MD Meshin Mujtaba, DM Jangaon S Swathi, Raghunathapally CI A Srinivas Reddy and Raghunathapally SI D Naresh also participated in the programme.
