Jangaon: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) cadre has been asked to make Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s public meeting on February 11 after the inauguration of the party district office a major success. “By making the meeting a grand success, we can send a warning to the Opposition party leaders who are resorting to making rubbish comments against the TRS that enjoys much support among the people,” Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said on Monday.
Dayakar Rao, accompanied by Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod, participated in a preparatory meeting of the Jangaon Assembly constituency level meeting here. While the meeting was presided over by Jangaon MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, party rank and file from Jangaon, Bachnnapet, Tarigoppula, Narmetta, Cherial, Komuravelli and Madddur mandals attended the meeting.
“Since the inauguration of the first district party office by the Chief Minister is our office, we have to take it as a prestige issue and ensure that the meeting is a huge success. The meeting should be a slap on the face of the Opposition,” he added. The leaders, who spoke at the meeting, attacked the Narendra Modi government, stating that the Centre had failed on all fronts. Referring to the Chief inister’s remarks on new Constitution, they wondered what was wrong in it as the Constitution has been amended several times. The TRS leaders appealed to the party members to question and chase the BJP leaders away during their visits to the villages.
MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLA Peddi Sudharshan Reddy, MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, Jangaon ZP chairman Pagala Sampath Reddy, MLCs Banda Prakash, Takkallapally Ravinder Rao and others attended the meeting.
