Jangaon: Rice millers instructed to complete delivery of CMR by March-end

Jangaon: District Collector K Nikhila has directed the rice millers to deliver the stock of the custom milled rice (CMR) by the end of this month.
Addressing a meeting with the officials of the civil supplies and millers here at the collectorate on Wednesday, she said that the delivery deadline of the CMR for the Yasangi (Rabi) of 2019-20 would end by the end of this month. “4,000 metric tonnes of the CMR is pending from six rice mills in the district,” she said and directed the owners of the rice mills to run the mills without brake to reach the target.
“If you (rice millers) fail to deliver the CMR, you will be blacklisted,” she warned. District Supplies Officer (DSO) M Roja Rani, DM Civil Supplies Corporation B Rampathi, FCI Manager Srinivas Naik and millers attended the meeting.
