Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said that Prof Kothapally Jayashankar, the Telangana ideologue, had dedicated his entire life for the cause of Telangana. Stating that his life would remain a story of inspiration for the younger generation, Rao said that Prof Jayashankar had only one agenda in his life that was to achieve statehood to Telangana region.

After garlanding Prof Jayashankar’s statue at Mustabad Circle in Siddipet to mark his 87th birth anniversary on Friday, the Minister said Telangana government is firmly moving ahead to realise the dreams of Jayashankar. Saying that Jayashankar had created a direction to Telangana movement and had a clear vision about Telangana’s future, Rao said that Jayashankar was a source of inspiration for Telangana government in launching various welfare schemes and development projects in the State. Prof Jayashankar’s birth anniversary was celebrated in a grand way in all the offices across the erstwhile Medak district. The leaders and officials have garlanded his statues.
