JBCCI member consoles kin of SRP3 mine accident

Member of several workers unions consoling the kin of Krishna Reddy who was killed in coal mine mishap in Naspur on Wednesday.
Mancherial: The Joint Bipartite Committee for the Coal Industry (JBCCI) K Laxma Reddy and leaders of Singareni Coal Mines Karmika Sangh (SCMKS) and Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) consoled the kin of two of the four coal miners who were killed in the SRP-3 mishap, in Naspur on Wednesday. Laxma Reddy visited the homes of Krishna Reddy and Bera Lachaiah at Sirke Colony in Naspur and expressed grief over the tragic deaths of the miner.
Laxma Reddy criticised the authorities of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) over safety measures in coal mining operations. He alleged that the officials concerned were showing negligence in adopting the safest methods of mining coal. He requested them to take steps for preventing the recurrence of similar incidents in future.
SCKMS president Yadagiri Sattaiah, general secretary Madhava Naik, central vice-president Peram Ramesh, leaders Kasetti Nageshwar Rao, Kadashi Bheemaiah, Podishetti Vinay Kumar, Pancharpala Naresh, Bhumpalli Ramesh, Bodakunta Pranay, Dorikela Ramesh, Pradeep, Ravi and Sarangapani were few among many leaders who were present.
On November 10, Bera Lachaiah (60), Krishna Reddy (57) G Satya Narayana Raju (32), and Rinka Chandrasekhar (32) were killed when a portion of the roof belonging to SRP-3 and 3A Incline collapsed on them. While Lachaiah is a native of Namnoor village in Hajipur mandal, the three are residents of different parts of Naspur mandal. The SCCL management has already extended statutory benefits to the kin of the victims and assured to provide a job to a family member of the four at the earliest.
