Hyderabad: A book ‘Breaking Through New Earth’ with a tagline ‘A journey from humble beginnings to three decades of the Indian Administrative Service’ will be launched at the lit fest on November 14.

The author Jatish Chandra Mohanty known as JC Mohanty is former IAS officer and has written extensively on his journey as an administrator. The book, which runs to 338 pages, is divided into 10 sections comprising 29 chapters. He offers insights on how to improve the quality of governance in India. The book is full of his experience as a bureaucrat which is a must read for aspirants of civil services, a release stated.

Dwelling on the role of humility in one’s life, Mohanty has put emphasis on empathy which helps in better understanding of fellow beings paving the way for growth. The book is a chronological sequence of life events of Mohanty, it said.

Dr Siddartha Satpathy, HCU, Gopala Krishna, IAS (Retd), Mani Shanker and other guests to take part in the book launch.
