Hyderabad: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced, a test for admissions into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), will be conducted on July 3. The IIT-Bombay which is organising the entrance test has released a detailed schedule.

The paper-I of the exam will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and paper-II from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Students must appear in both the papers. In order to be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2022, candidates should be among the top 2.5 lakh successful candidates in the BE/BTech paper of the JEE Main 2022.


According to the information brochure released by the IIT-Bombay, a candidate should have appeared for the Class XII or equivalent examination for the first time in either 2021 or 2022 with the subjects-Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to write the test. Candidates who had appeared in Class XII or equivalent examination, for the first time in 2020 or earlier, are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2022.

This year, as a one-time measure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, candidates who appeared in the Class XII or equivalent exams in 2020 or 2021 and registered for the JEE Advanced 2021 but did not appear in both the papers are eligible to directly take the JEE Advanced 2022. Such candidates must register for the JEE Advanced 2022.

Online registration will begin on the website https://jeeadv.ac.in/ from June 8 and the last date to apply is June 14. The registration fee for female, SC, ST and PwD candidates is Rs.1,400 and Rs.2,800 for others. Admit cards can be downloaded from the website from June 27 to July 3. Results of the JEE Advanced will be declared on July 18.

Students wishing to join the BArch (Architecture) programme have to clear the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who qualified in the JEE Advanced 2022 are eligible for the AAT 2022. The BArch programme is being offered by the IIT BHU Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. The registration for the AAT can be done on July 18 and 19 and the test will be held on July 21, while the results will be declared on July 24.JEE Advanced on July 3.
