Hyderabad: Students appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026, Session 1, should take note of changes in the examination dates. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is conducting the examination, has revised the schedule.

As per the public notice released by the NTA on Thursday, JEE Main Paper I (BE/BTech) will be conducted on January 21 to 24 and 28, while Paper II (BArch and BPlanning) will be held on January 29. Earlier, the examinations were scheduled between January 21 and 30. Paper I will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm, while Paper II will be conducted from 9 am to 12.30 pm.

An advance intimation for the allotment of examination city has been hosted on the website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in . Candidates are required to download their examination city intimation slip from the website and go through the instructions contained therein.

The examination city intimation slip is not the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit card. “This is advance information for the allotment of the city where the examination centre will be located to facilitate candidates. The admit card for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be issued later,” the NTA said.

Candidates facing any difficulty in downloading or checking their examination city intimation slip can contact 011-40759000 or email jeemain@nta.ac.in.
