Former BRS MLA T Jeevan Reddy accused CM Revanth Reddy and his aides of orchestrating a Rs. 10,000 crore scam involving a resort near Shamirpet. Alleging political corruption, he demanded a central probe and promised further revelations
Hyderabad: Former BRS MLA T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of turning Telangana into a hub of corruption, alleging that the Congress government has failed to fulfil promises and is indulging in large-scale scams.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Jeevan Reddy said the Congress regime was functioning under what he termed “RRR scams”, targeting Revanth Reddy, Rahul Gandhi, and former MP G Ranjith Reddy. He contrasted these with the “RRR schemes” implemented during former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s tenure — Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and Runa Maafi (crop loan waivers).
Taking a dig at the Congress party, he referred to the AICC as the “All India Corruption Centre” and the PCC as the “Pradesh Corruption Centre”. He alleged that the party had disrespected the national flag by adopting similar colours in its own flag while engaging in what he described as corruption and false propaganda.
Jeevan Reddy further alleged a Rs. 10,000 crore scam involving Revanth Reddy’s close associate Faheem Qureshi in the sale of a resort near Shamirpet. He claimed the resort, valued at several crores and with Rs. 2,200 crore in liabilities, was sold for Rs. 330 crore to Ranjith Reddy without competitive bidding and under pressure from Faheem.
He also alleged the involvement of BJP MPs and money laundering in the deal. Calling for a high-level probe by central agencies, the former Minister warned this was just the beginning and promised to expose more scams in the coming days.
