Hyderabad: Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) chairman and MLA A Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday ridiculed Nizmabad MP D Arvind’s allegations that the TRS had manipulated the Election Commission of India (ECI) and wondered if Arvind had any faith in the EC at all. He pointed out that the Election Commission was an autonomous body at the Central government level.

Speaking to media persons at TRS Legislative Party office here, Jeevan Reddy strongly condemned the allegations by Arvind against IT Minister KT Rama Rao and warned that defamation cases would be filed against him for making such personal remarks. He pointed out that the court has issued gag orders against TPCC president A Revanth Reddy for making similar remarks.

He dared Arvind to contest against him in Armoor Assembly constituency and win the election. He also warned him against making derogatory statements against former MP K Kavitha and reminded that former Congress MP Madhu Yashki lost his deposit after making such remarks against her.

The Armoor legislator said both Revanth Reddy and Arvind were trying to create nuisance with their nonsensical politics in the State. He alleged that the duo have colluded with each other against TRS. “We cannot compete with them in terms of blackmail politics and false propaganda. But TRS would win the Huzurabad by-elections with more than 30,000 majority, with people’s support,” he declared.
