Hyderabad: A major burglary took place at Someshwara Jewellers in Dundigal, where unidentified miscreants broke into the shop and made away with a large quantity of silver ornaments on Saturday.
According to police sources, the offenders drilled a hole through the wall of the jewellery shop during early hours and entered the premises. They reportedly stole about 18 kgs of silver jewellery and other valuable items before escaping from the spot.
On receiving information, Dundigal police reached the crime spot and conducted a detailed inspection. The Clues Team too collected evidence. The police have registered a case and took up an investigation. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the burglars.
Police officials suspect that the burglary was pre-planned and executed after close surveillance of the shop’s security arrangements.
