Jio implemented additional 20 MHz spectrum across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to enhance subscriber experience. This will add up to the existing 40 MHz spectrum and enhance the total spectrum availability in the region by 50 per cent.
With the additional spectrum footprint, Jio will enhance network capacity to service its existing users as well as for the next 300 million users who will move to digital services and transition to 5G services.
According to the latest TRAI data, Jio has extended its market leadership in both these States with over 3.16 crore mobile subscribers and nearly 40 per cent customer market share in the region.
